4.0 out of 5 starsCute, but not great for a 3 year old.

My three year old LOVES Bluey (let's be honest, so do I) and I was super excited about this toy, but unfortunately it hasn't been great for her.
The reasons it isn't great:
1. To open the car you pull the roof off and it hinges open. It's a bit hard to open and getting it back on right isn't just a quick and easy close. Even when I close it I have to use a bit of finesse (it's a combination of pulling it forward and pushing it down just right) so my three year old understandably has a hard time doing it. She isn't normally frustrated by toys but she has yelled "I can't do it!" at this toy multiple times.
2. Getting Bandit in the seat is hard. There is an opening for his tail but for some reason even I have a hard time figuring out how to situate him in there. Maybe both my child and I are terrible at toys and don't use them properly or it is in fact a little difficult to use, not sure which!
The things I do like:
1. It rolls REALLY well.
2. The stickers are a really cute touch. I LOVE that they thought of that. It made me giggle and my 3 year old enjoyed putting them all over everything (everything other than the car...but oh well).
So, overall, I like it - it's cute and seems to be made well. But I think it's better for kids who are a little older.
5.0 out of 5 starsOur toddler is a HUUUUGE fan of Bluey and loves this

I'll start with the negative, which is that this is pretty clearly a marketing pitch to force you to buy the four-character set to go along with it - so right out of the gate they are pushing you to spend $15 more for that. And at that point you now have TWO Bandits, which is just plain silly. Because, really, even though you can acknowledge that Bandit (or mum) is probably needed to drive the vehicle, the kids really really really would want Bluey and Bingo. Like...duh.
That said, my toddler absolutely loves Bluey and the details are kind of moot as fans of the show are probably yelling "take my money" in most cases once they see it. And to top it all off since we are in the Vine program we got to test this out for free, and thought grandpa could get her the best present ever by purchasing the 4-character set to go along with it - so all told this kid is positively ecstatic and will be playing with this toy for a long long time...and might even leave us alone for five minutes! Seriously, great show and we are glad to have acquired these toys. Honestly, the price points on the two gifts aren't too bad if you compare it to other popular show cash grabs. Get em and enjoy!
Cute, Cute, Cute and definitely a must have for fans of Bluey! The 2 surfboards pop on and off the top of the car and the top folds down. It is a bit difficult to get Blueys dad (the figurine this comes with) to sit up straight in the vehicle and for the price, it would be nice if this was designed so that he snapped in correctly. We do not have Bluey and the rest of the family yet but I imagine having all figurines in there it might help them stay upright a bit better? Not really sure.
Really love the bright color of the car paired with the blue heeler and the bright neon surfboards. It really drew my son in and he enjoys playing with this one a lot. We didn’t even know about the show prior to this, but now my toddler is an avid fan! Totally love that this is a blue heeler family as we’ve had heelers and they are just the best.
As mentioned above, you do have to purchase the rest of the figures separately (this only comes with the dad). I think they may be a bit pricy for figurines, but totally worth the splurge if you have a kiddo who loves Bluey. Would make a wonderful gift for sure!
Well my daughters are obsessed with Bluey and this car set is great. This set only comes with the car and Bandit (the dad) and the two surf boards at the top. It is completely fine for the price. My daughters already have the family set and the great thing is that this car set works with that set very well. The car is a comfortable size and rolls smoothly over surfaces, even carpet. The major drawback that I've seen with this is that the seating is hard to manage. As you can see, all the characters have tails. This is addressed in the chairs openings so they sit comfortably. The problem is getting them in the seat. The doors do not open, making it hard to shuffle them around and getting them to sit just right. My daughters have to bring the car to me to fix them inside before they can play, and again get some help when they want to take them out. It may be a minor thing but for a Childs play toy, that should have been something that could have been improved. Overall, they still like the set and continue to play with it.
