To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The monitor is beautiful, functional and legible... great video quality for 1080.
The controls (including on/off) are on the back of the right hand side. A little awkward to get to on the left monitor when on a dual-monitor stand. Happily, the monitor doesn't need adjusting out of the box, so it's only the on/off
And generally the WLED feature works as advertised, but I did once see an imperfection with an almost-black background (nighttime sky) with a white window over it, the LED in a block was turned off making a rectangular corner shadow at the edge of the white window... not a huge problem but a tad annoying.
I have a dual monitor set up. One one side, a Samsung 27" bought years ago. On the other, a 19" Dell. A few pixels on the Samsung recently died but not enough to bother me. The 19" Dell has been great but I thought it was time to get another 27". Based on the reviews and my prior experience with Lenovo, I pulled the trigger on this monitor.
Comparing the two:
The Samsung has a yellowish tint. The Lenovo a bluish tint. Hard to explain but the yellow is warmer and easier on the eyes but the text on the blue side is more precise. Not significantly so, however.
Placing the same image on both monitors results in either no perceivable difference OR the Samsung is richer, more vibrant.
If I could turn back the clock I would probably have spent the money to get two identical 25" monitors. Sometimes two 27" is overkill.
This is by far the best monitor I’ve ever had. It has amazing picture quality, it’s a pretty good size, and the latency is outstanding for the price. I highly recommend this item. You’ll instantly be satisfied the moment you turn it on.
The reason I gave it a 3 for gaming, I won't be using it for gaming. My boss had ordered the same monitor for me in January and there was an issue with the electric cord, it didn't tightly fit into the monitor. It would come on and then immediately go off and I had to position the cord just right so the monitor would stay on. I bought myself the same monitor and no issues with anything and I love the size of the monitor too and the price isn't bad. I was able to get this one on slight sale.
We have used Lenovo office products - laptops and monitors for quite some time in our office. I was using a 17" at home and was having difficulty using that after being on a 27" in the office. Decided it was time for an upgrade since I am working both in the office and from home several days a week. Our IT group helped me decide on what model to purchase. It doesn't adjust up and down like my one at work but that wasn't important for home.
Great monitor for the price picture quality is good looks great with a slim bezel brightness is fine hooked up to a Apple Mac Pro laptop over all a great buy, use as a all round monitor, business, internet, bought another for the wife hooked up to a Lenovo laptop as a business monitor working from home.
