All her life, Princess Everleigh has understood she will die on her 17th birthday so that one of her brothers can be crowned king. Shortly before her birthday, she finds out from the wise woman that she could in fact live and also become Queen. The books then follow the betrayals, loves and battles that follow to ensure she fulfils this prophecy.
It is extremely repetitive, and in places seems to lose continuity. Its difficult to connect with the characters as it flips between them frequently but doesn't flow.
I came across these books through a Facebook ad and decided to give them a try and I’m so glad that I did! From the very first chapter I was hooked. There are so many twists and turns, I couldn’t put the book down, there is so many shocks! There is a lot of death and I have cried many many times but I have also laughed so much, the characters are so loveable and funny. I am so happy with how the books ended, not what I was expecting but in such a good way, I think it was the best ending for the characters. Very happy with the books and will definitely read them again! New author for me but one I will definitely return to!
I've only read up to book 2 but love the storyline. The characters are lovable and you soon root for your favourite ones. Cant wait to finish the series. Geared towards young adults, this book will have you staying up late to try and finish them.
I'm 37 and I absolutely love these books (I know I'm supposed to be too old for them). They have kept me occupied during a very dull lockdown. Gemma is so lovely to talk to too I have had the pleasure of many conversations with her.
