To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This is the most recent book in the series and doesn't disappoint. I have really loved reading this story from the start and was fortunate enough to buy all five books together so that I could finish one then follow with the next. Now that I've finished the books available, I have to wait for the next one to be published. Bugger! as I was on a roll and now have to find another author who can keep me awake with a decent story. Keep up the good work Peter.
As all the others in this series its a great story line and keeps you going but when you can read it in 2 hours the author is really cutting us short. I would much rather have waited longer to get a decent read, just hope the author is not going to keep writing these short stories to get more sales and extend the series as I have seen other authors do when they get a following. While I will continue to read this series, hopefully there will only be one longer book or two more books at the most or I will stop reading this author as I have done with others that shortened books to extend their sales
Okay story but ham fisted writing. Looks like the author intended to include the first few chapters in the last book but didn’t and then forgot those chapters were included in this book. Result is repetitive information and even dialogs.
Confusing narrative as well at times: the hero is not scared but at the same time his knees were trembling, he swooped low but aimed for the head, etc etc.
A stronger effort at writing the next part, which hopefully will also move the story forward rather than present one illogical occurrence after another, will be useful.
Great book, very interesting and very hard to put down. I think I finished this book in record time much to my chagrin. I let all my other chores and responsibilities lapse. Now I have to go back to work!
Please finished the next book in this series as quickly as you can. It becomes very hard to remember details as time moves on. I'm not as young as I once was. Thanks for the wonderful story.
I really enjoyed this installment of The Sylvan Chronicles! Peter has created a fabulous world, full of adventure and fast paced action. His characters enthrall you from page one and suck you into their world! Wonderfully written, brilliant dialog and a fantastic storyline. I do wish it was longer, but the length was perfect for this part of the series. I highly recommend checking this series out! Like me, I think you will become addicted!
Its hard to write a review for any of the books in this series after the 2nd book since they are so short. The 1st two books were not overloaded with backstory as the series just started. But now by the 5th book, the pages are loaded with stuff we already know from previous reads. And along with that, the books are shorter in length. The story is still pretty good but the endings are quick with a lot left unresolved. But for the price of $2.99 it's hard to give this story anything below 3 stars. It shows a retail price of $12, and there is no way this book should sell for more then $3 as it is so short and filled with fluff from previous stories.
