How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

1.0 out of 5 stars very hard to read

I have been reading this book on the website, it is an amazing book. So, I thought to own an ebook, but I found it is very hard to read, and very difficult to view the photos, waste money, better read hard copy or just read on line. Not recommended.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good for beginners but...been there, done that.

If you know anything about justonecookbook.com, you know that they have interesting Japanese recipes that are somewhat off the beaten path. They're not bizarre by any means, but they are dishes you don't necessarily think of right off the bat. I am very interested in those. Baked katsudon? Nope. Creamy miso w/ Tofu and Asparagus? Nuh-uh. Miso Butter Pasta w/ Tuna & Cabbage? Iie. Soooo disappointing. Those recipes are what I wanted. I didn't need miso soup. Chicken teriyaki? Come on. Dime a dozen. I don't like reading recipes on a phone all the time. Put out a real book. I'm sending this one back if at all possible. Don't waste your time and $$.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected and unappreciated comic in first few pages of the book.

Because I find the title distasteful, I'm not going to advertise that filth of a "comic" that is printed on the first 13 pages of the cookbook. I'm thoroughly disappointed in this purchase. I immediately put in for a refund.

I could never let my mom borrow it, for fear that she'd see the idiotic garbage comic... I'm sure for others that like that kind of stuff, fine... but clear advance notice and warning would have been nice. I could have saved my money or bought something else. Disgusting toilet humor is inappropriate in a cookbook.
