Amazon.com.au:Customer reviews: Philips Hue LightStrip Plus Dimmable LED Smart Light - Two Metre Base Kit (Compatible with Bluetooth, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant), White and Colour
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I put this behind my monitor. The strip itself is fairly thick and rubbery, so you can't really make sharp angles/bends with it.
I had some issues with mine, specifically it couldn't be reached by the Hue app consistently (making it basically useless since I couldn't change the brightness and color), though Amazon is sorting this out. Hopefully this isn't an inherent problem with the product.
I have used the V3 and V4 lightstrip. Both work identically within the hue ecosystem but all the connections are different between the 2 versions. Currently there are no V4 connectors on the market which makes it extremely difficult to complete custom installations. The worst part is that the box contains a single cut end to cut end connector but there are no other similar connectors on the market that i can find.
That said, the lightstrip themselves are great. I'm about 20 devices deep into the hue ecosystem. Some time to configure the device is required and the app is fairly intuitive but once you get started there's a lot you can do.
Side note: not sure why this review is asking my rating of motion detection. The lightstrip does not have motion detection integrated. You need to purchase a motion detection sensor separately and configure it, if that feature is required.
