I pre-ordered this book. I was super excited to finally get it. To say I'm disappointed is an under statement. Most of the recipes are ones that are on the blog or in her previous cookbook. The ones that aren't, are extremely underwhelming. 6 pages of recipes for popcorn? 1 page being how to pop popcorn and the others having one recipe per page for toppings. How to make toast? Wow. Never would've known to put peanut butter and strawberries. Or avocado toast.
The recipes I tried (perfect pot pie soup, creamy gnocchi soup) were lacking flavor. And the two honestly tasted the same, just one had gnocchi and the other had peas.
I've always been a fan of Sam's. In fact, I've made almost every recipe from her Fuss Free Vegan book. But this one, is highly disappointing and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
