To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Loving how how straight forward the ingredients are and how quick things are to make. My only real issue is that I wish measurements were listed in both metric and imperial. Being from Canada (where the author actually lives), we use a bit of a mix of both imperial and metric and I’d love to have the option to use either. I find my scale is much easier to use for most things other than a table/teaspoons. I have no concept of ounces so it can be a slight annoyance and causes a bit more planning.
I enjoy this book so far! The instructions are clear and the photos are great! I've made 2 recipes from this book and both were quite enjoyable! My only critique from this book is that pretty much all of the desserts are popcorn combinations and that just seems like a waste of a chapter in my opinion. Overall I think its worth purchasing if you are trying to incorporate veganism in your lifestyle as this book makes it cheap and easy!
I like this book & know that it will get a lot of use. I gave it 4 stars because, to me, sides really round out a meal & that category was conspicuously missing. Having a ‘Sides’ section in the contents would have made this perfect.
This is an excellent vegan cookbook for those who are new to this way of eating and not experienced cooks. All the recipes are time saving, simple, and made with easy to buy ingredients. My favorites in the book are make ahead mixes.
