I absolutely LOVE THIS SERIES! and to see them as a boxset is a wonderful treasure. I have reviewed these books i have included the reviews below. The storie are all well written and thoroughly entertaining. The characters are extremely well developed and their thoughts, feelings and backstories give depth to them; and the plot is filled with suspense, mystery, first impressions, friendships, and second chances. So grab a coffee, forget the housework, relax and be transported to another century!

But when an old beau reappears in the form of one Lord Havisham, Emily begins to wonder whether her heart can remain as resolute as she had hoped! Patience, love, friendship and schemes will help convince Emily that Lord Havisham is sincere in his proposal for a courtship. The story is well written and thoroughly entertaining. The characters are extremely well developed and their thoughts, feelings and backstories give depth to them; and the plot is filled with suspense, mystery, first impressions, friendships, and second chances.
The Disgraced Bride
Miss Emma Bavidge was eavesdropping as her father, Viscount Hawkridge, and her aunt discussed finding her a husband. She wasn’t beautiful and did not have a large dowry! Hardly inspiring words! Emma contacts Lady Emily Smithton who leads ‘The Spinsters Guild’ and is promised help. When questioned, Emma mentions one gentleman’s name – Viscount Morton. Viscount Nathaniel Morton feels sorry for Miss Bavidge, as he knows her father and the details of what occurred. He knows her own behavior has been above reproach. A sweet story about the delicate nature of a female’s reputation in the Regency era. Viscount Nathaniel Morton feels responsible for Miss Bavidge. He has watched the Ton treat her with disrespect and would like to help her become more accepted. And as he does so, he falls for her! This is the second book in The Spinsters Guild series a well written story that was interesting and thought provoking! how society views have changed! I liked Emma and Nathaniel. The characters and situations are well written!
A Gentleman's Revenge
Miss Sarah Crosby is already considered a spinster and has little to no hope of finding a husband. She has come to London for a season as a companion to her cousin, Sophia Marks. The story begins with her being dressed in unattractively so that no attention is given to her at all and she had no self worth nor confidence. While in London she met Miss Bavidge and became good friends. Miss Bavidge introduced her to Lady Smithton who created the "Spinster's Guild" At a ball attending to her cousin, she bumped into (literally!) Lord Daniel Ruddington. There was a connection between them. That connection changed when Daniel wanted to be introduced to her cousin, Miss Marks. He then pursues Miss Sophia Marks but it becomes apparent that his motive is not love. Mrs. Smithton guesses that Sarah is attracted to Ruddington and convinces her that she has as much right to attract the gentleman as does Sophia. so with a little makeover and a large boost to her confidence. This is a slow burn romance, and the part of it i enjoyed was how Sarah's confidence grew so that she was able to stand up to her cousin! This is such an entertaining story and i throughly enjoyed reading it! All of the characters are well developed, including the supporting characters. Lady Smithton continues her role as mentor to the spinsters who have come to her for assistance in finding love and happiness. I can’t wait to read the next installment! Even though part of a series it can be read as a standalone (but soooo much better to read them all!! :) ) Highly recommend this book and the series!
A Foolish Wager
As a 12 year old Amelia climbed a tree higher and higher ignoring her governess pleas to come down. Unfortunately, she fell to earth severely injuring her leg. Over time it healed but left her with a noticeable limp. Her father dies and her uncle becomes her guardian. He increases her dowery, assigns her a companion and urges her to find a match...this season. Unexpectedly she meets Oliver who bumps into her and believes he has caused her an injury. When she denies it he is a little confused but glad he didn't hurt her. After that interaction Oliver has the bad luck of coming across Lord Davidson. Lord Davidson is in need of funds and isnt above using blackmail to get what he wants. He bets in the Whites betting book that Oliver will have Amelia confess her love for him. Reluctantly he agrees it as Lord Davidson blackmail threat continues. If he doesn't then he will out Oliver having an affair with a wife of the ton. Forced into courting Lady Amelia or having his own reputation tarnished, Lord Oliver had not expected the actual feelings she invoked in him. He experiences feelings he hadn't felt before. He begins to slowly realise he is in love with her. You will LOVE this book..it is well written and the plot is tantalising. I really liked both Oliver and Amelia. Oliver is pretty likeable - for a rake; and Amelia is a much stronger person that she believes herself to be. She has had to be with the ton making cruel barbs against her. The storyline has many wonderful moments in which Amelia is embraced in friendship with Lady Emily Smithton, her companion and with Oliver. This well written, stand-alone novella is the next book in the Spinster's Guild series. It is both clean and sweet, and it's worth grabbing a coffee, settling in a sofa to enjoy! there is a HEA! Recommended!!
A Lord Undone
Lady Beatrice’s father has taken her to London for the season. He is a drunk and a gambler. Lady Beatrice Thornton is hearing whispers everywhere she goes. Ladies are staring at her. Lady Beatrice hears the gossip while in a book shop. Her drunken father has made it known that there is some question over the legitimacy of her birth. Lord Frederick, the Earl of Greaves first runs into Beatrice accidentally while she is emotionally distraught because of her father's rumor. He judges her harshly as too emotional and wants nothing to do with her. He holds himself to an extremely high standard.. When his brother's life is threatened and held for ransom, he is beside himself. After he is properly introduced to Beatrice and he gets to know her better she becomes his ally along with Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham. The four of them work on solving the mystery of his brother's kidnapping. There is a HEA for the couple AND for my favourite couple Lady Smithton and Lord Havisham. In each story Lord Havisham wanted to regain the trust and love of Lady Smithon who he had failed when she needed him most. In each of the books in the series, she has asked him to help with each woman in the Spinster's Guild to help them find husbands. The story is well written and thoroughly entertaining. The characters are extremely well developed and their thoughts, feelings and backstories give depth to them; and the plot is filled with suspense, mystery, first impressions, friendships, and second chances.
