Fairly uncomfortable to use and I cerainly would not want to swim any great distance wearing them. On the other hand they do help you to develop good technique and it is well worth persevering with them. I certainly intend to keep them in my swim bag because, even if you use them only occasionally, they do stop you from lapsing into bad habits.
This is uncomfortable to wear while swimming. My arms barely fit! It might help some people swim better, particularly when learning how to catch, but most people who buy this are beginners, like myself. Beginners swim with a very straight arm, which this device does not prevent and, in fact, encourages. This, in turn, causes lots of other problems such as insufficient roll. I don't see how to incorporate it into my swimming so I get constructive feedback from it.
A beginner, such as myself, is better served by hand paddles: they won't stop you from swimming incorrectly, but will make it very difficult to do so. Just make sure you don't drop your elbows.
