It should be difficult to get excited about keeping cables and cords neat. But, if you are like me, you will go on a massive cable and cord neatness crusade within the first hour of receiving this product. Why you should consider purchasing: - The simple and clean design. - Seem reasonably strong - 50 in a pack for the price is good value - They do the job well
I bought this to work some straps onto bags and PALS webbing. Works okay - high strength, very grippy. I mistakenly thought this had a plastic loop at one end and hook&loop were on the one side (for ratcheting down) but noticed the hook and loop were on opposite sides. This was my bad for not looking into it further, but worth noting if that's what others are after. The nylon loop is covered in hook&loop and thus makes pulling the end through quite difficult as it keeps biting on as you try and feed it. The best thing for this is the value for money - 50 pieces, use it everywhere. I keep them in various bags and drawers to tidy cables, strap in gear, etc. The hook is very strong - it will catch on 1000D nylon (albeit lightly), which may be positive or negative for some.
I purchased these to use in tidying up and organising my cables, and they have been perfect for the job.
The cable ties are sturdy and a good length. Being made entirely of the hook-&-loop material means that you don't have to worry about whether you have enough length on the strap to achieve adhesion. And 50 is a generous enough number that I have been able to organise my cables as well as a plethora of electrical cords around the house, and still have a few cable ties over.
Work exactly as you would want, look nice and seem to be very durable. My only real issue with them is that they can be too strong sticking to one another so if you need to bunch cables into a very thin bundle it can be a little tedious to avoid accidentally sticking the Velcro too early. But this might just be me not taking enough care in my method, can't fault them too much for having such a good quality Velcro mechanism.
Since starting working from home my Frankenstein desk cord setup has been driving me mad. I finally ordered some cable organisers and I'm so glad I did. Only $9 for 50 of them. Got a cable management box on the way as well to make it extra neat.
I really like these cable tidies. I purchased a few packs for cable management on a few homes server racks and ended up using them everywhere. They are strong with a simple and clean design. They are easy to use and they are clean and tidy themselves.
