Nothing fancy here, which I like. Easy family home cooking.
The recipes are easy, and there are recipes for vegetarians also that I like, as for my husbands heart that is what
We are mainly eating now, and for hubby it has paid off for the better.
Although wild alaska salmon is good with pasta.
Francesca Montillo gives allot of good suggestions and tips in the beginning of the book, using different types of pasta,
And what recipes for them.
Different easy sauces, the reason to save some pasta water, herbs to use, lemons, she is big on putting a table spoon of salt
In pasta water for a lb. of pasta...Although Too much for me.
She seems to have it pretty much covered here ..
Recipes for easy pasta, the classics, vegetarian, fish and seafood, meat and poultry, salads, sides, and drinks.
What I Don’t see here, is a, Protein, cals, fat, Sodium, carbs , fiber, etc..
But she shows prep time, cooking time, serves 4, 6, how many ingredients, 30 mins or less, worth waiting for...
The print is dark and easy to read, the lay out is easy. At the bottom of some recipes is alternatives tips..
I was surprised to notice she does not use much garlic, onions, or shallots! but that could be for your own preference.
There is allot of health benefits to eating Garlic, and we love it..
I put a fresh bulb of peeled garlic in my 4 cup glass chopper (Amazon) about once or twice aweek for my family, then put
It in a small bowl, cover in the frig , its always ready to go. It does spice up almost any recipe.
