I found this book very light, light on storyline light on characters light on details ie what’s a familiar and why doesn’t it help? The bad guy when asked said yes it was me and went right into details how(light on common sense) light on any real emotions or romance or character development as they are straight out rude enemies or very close friends
Loved this book and read it in one sitting. It was funny, yet dramatic, with characters who leapt out of the pages with personalities that kept up the suspense. The red herrings ramped up the suspense.
After reading so many books I look for something light and fast to read. I hoped for inter action between shakes and Robin. Also much more with Jackie who sounded like she would be fun. A fast read. Not much depth to it. Fine for reading something fast and light.
When a young woman inherits a bakery from her biological mother, she chooses to leave her old life behind and start a new life as an entrepreneur. When a local man is murdered, she quickly becomes a suspect. However, she soon realizes the bakery is home to a spooky guest who helps solve the mystery. Great characters and a twisty plot make this book a pleasure!
Love Shakes. A great murder mystery and a great reveal of witches. Perfect reactions and a fairly accurate portrayal of acceptance. Hints of a romantic interest, but not a priority at this point. There seems to be no one is as quirky as Grandma Jackie.
I was looking for a diversion from my problems and this book was perfect for that. It's a light, refreshing story with quirky characters, a murder, and an engaging sleuth who has just found out she's a witch. I really enjoyed reading this book and did not figure out who committed the murder until the reveal.
