Very good camera and mobile app

Really good camera quality and easy to setup an I expected reading online reviews of it. Just be aware of your home's wifi range as I struggled to get a good quality video feed in my garage so I had to move my modern closer. My phone was able to connect to the wifi though so it must be the cameras wifi receiver antenna not being strong enough. Also you would probably want to get it subscription for the improved AI detection so you only record and get notified if there's a person/vehicle. You need to take the cost of subscription into account too.

No Alexa support in Australia

This is a great camera but I am extremely disappointed that Alexa is NOT supported in Australia in spite of the item title still saying that it is “Compatible with Alexa”. Wyze support claims that they have advise Amazon not to sell the product outside of the USA but it is still happening. I cannot even register the 4 cameras that I purchased here in Australia because the registration requires a US address!

It's not often that a product is actually much better than the marketing description.

The first time I logged into the camera at night I thought it had lost connection and was showing me a picture from earlier in the day. No. The colour vision on this camera is just nuts.

Tip. You don't actually turn the night vision setting on (you don't need it - thats just for pitch dark scenarios).

I purchased a number of these Wyze camera's through Amazon AU based on the recommendations of others, although one of the camera's has completely failed after a few weeks.
The guys from The Gadget Collective got in touch with me and organised a replacement straight away. Really happy with their help and service.
The camera's are all working as well as I expected, just requiring some fine tuning for rules, alerts and activation zones. Would not hesitate is purchasing additional cameras.

I bought this camera just to see if it would be a useful item. The camera was easy to set up, all I had to do was to get power to it. It hooked up to my network easily. The automatic 12 second event recording on motion detection is sufficient to find any movement of interest. I originally had the sound events on but I have since cancelled that as it was not needed. It works well.
At the resolution, it is sufficient for me to recognise cars and people, although the image does not really have enough resolution to effectively see number plates unless quite close.
A very cost effective camera.

Im new to the world of CCTV cameras and purchased one of these to start with to help get me up to speed. I was so impressed with its ease to setup and its operation that I quickly purchased a second one for the other end of the house. Im still mucking around with the sensitivity to try and reduce unnecessary notifications, but overall, a great product. I got these primarily to have eyes at vehicle approaches on our rural property when no one is about. They pick up vehicles & people anytime day or night. I have found that night time vehicle images are quite poor when you factor in vehicle headlights, but Im not worried about night time images, it's just the daytime if no one is around that im keeping an eye on. Very easy to install. Just need access to a power point( The supplied flat cable is quite generous and I see you can buy extension leads for these devises online) and a decent WiFi signal at the camera location and the rest is easy. Due to our rural location, we use satellite internet which isn't incredibly fast, yet these cameras work fine.The iPhone app is quite user friendly and very customisable. I have also installed 128gb MicroSD cards into each camera, which you need to do to get access to some of the playback options. Card doesn't need to be that big, but they are so cheap now a days. For the price, these cameras are great. Ive seen in other reviews that people have had issues in Australia, well, I am in Australia and had no such problems.

The main thing I like is the picture and colour quality at night with such low light conditions. In addition to this the V3 is now considered an outdoor camera which is nice update with better weather proofing, not that I had any trouble with the V2s out in the elements.

A nice touch is the siren feature to give people a fright.
