To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
This book is set up with pairs of recipes. You make the first one, and during the process you are prepping part of the second dinner. It's such a relief when it comes time to make the second dish and you've got a lot of it prepped already! It is a nice change of pace as I had been so burnt out on cooking for a family of 5. That being said, I've found the recipes make HUGE portions. It's way more meat than we're used to eating! Like...way more. The dishes are also rather salty for us if made as directed. Now that I've discovered these issues, I can plan accordingly and adjust as needed. I do plan to keep cooking from this book because it's an easy way to get us 2 hot fresh meals per week + lots of leftovers for lunches.
Love the concept! It’s such a great way to add healthy variety to our menu. The only con worth noting is that I ordered the spiral bound version and part of it is flipped so the cover and back are upside down.
