It's a shame that this product isn't available to reorder on Amazon in the same size! Every time I try to reorder, Amazon redirects me to the same product but in smaller dimensions (super annoying Amazon!)
Easy and fun to apply. The key for me was using water on both sides. Having a sharp Stanley and bit of wood/ruler helps to cut. I used a grouting squeegy and it worked perfectly for application.
I put this outdoors, and have taken a photo (attached) whilst raining as the product hasn't moved one inch since applying.
A very small amount of clear silicone was used at the top and bottom to avoid water penetration, however, have not used anything to secure the sides.

Installation Instructions:
1. Measure the surface and cut the film. Leave an extra inch margin on each side for an easy adjustment.
2. Clean the target surface thoroughly and make sure the surface is clean enough without any dust.
3. Peel off the transparent backing film along a short side.
4. Spray enough water on both the SMOOTH side of the film and the window, then install the SMOOTH side of the film onto the window.
5. Use a squeegee to flatten the film gently and squeeze out bubbles little by little.
6. Trim off the margins and use a cloth to flatten out the film. Here you go!
How to Find and Peel Off the Clear Backing Film:
- Step 1 - Please wet one window film corner and use your fingers to twist it for a while to loosen the attachment between the window film and clear backing film;
- Step 2 - Please attach a sticky tape to the side of the clear backing film corner (we have also attached a small sticky tape on each roll of window film for your convenience), and then press it for effective attachment;
- Step 3 - And then you are able to separate the clear backing film from the window film easily.

Viele Rezensionen auf dieser Produktseite hatten sich entweder in dem einen oder anderen Extreme auf. Da ich diese Folie seit zwei Jahren kenne und erst gestern mein neues Fenster damit beklebt habe, würde ich gerne aufklären.Reviewed in Germany on 31 March 2019
Versand und Zustand:
Hier gibt es nicht viel anzumerken. Der Service entspricht den Standardleistungen der meisten Shops in Amazon. Die Ware ist i.d.R. nach zwei Tagen geliefert, weder die Packung ist beschädigt noch der Inhalt.
Qualität des Produktes Pro: Die Folie ist relativ dick und macht einen stabilen und robusten Eindruck. Auch die Benutzung seit einer längeren Zeit (ca. 2 Jahre) hat dies bestätigt.
- Keine der Folien ist nach Anbringung an das Glas an irgend einer Stelle aufgerissen.
- Auch sind keine Weichstellen, Dellen oder Verformungen durch Wärme oder Kälte aufgetreten. Meine Scheiben werden durch die stundenlange Direkteinstrahlung im Sommer extrem heiß und im Winter herrschen bekanntlich Minusgrade.
- Auch gibt es keine Verfärbungen durch die intensiven Sonnenstrahlen.
Kontra:
Durch das hohe Gewicht und die schwache statische Haftung kann es passieren, dass die Folie nach gewisser Zeit am obersten Rand, insbesondere an den Ecken, nach unten abrollt. Hierzu habe ich nach mehrmaligen Versuchen einen bedingt anwendbaren, aber für meine Verhältnisse praktischen Trick gefunden, den ich unter dem Stichpunkt Montage erläutern werde.
Ich möchte hier noch einmal das Wort "relativ" betonen. D.h. die Folie ist natürlich dünn und leicht, nur im Vergleich mit anderen Folien fällt sie etwas dicker und schwerer aus.
Sichtschutz:
Die Folie hält ihr Versprechen und ist tatsächlich blickdicht und zwar nicht nur in der schwarzen Ausführungen.
Um Blickdichtigkeit detailliert zu spezifizieren:
- Die Außenwelt wird durch Zerstreuung des Tageslichtes bis zur völligen Unkenntlichkeit unscharf und diffus.
- Was die Wohnung betrifft muss man unterscheiden:
Eine Hand erkennt man ab einer Distanz von 30 cm nicht mehr. Bei dieser Zahl handelt es sich um eine vorsichtige Aussage, die den Abstand zur Sicherheit größer bestimmt, als unbedingt notwendig. Jeder kann für sich entscheiden, ob er mit seiner Hand evtl. noch näher an die Scheibe gehen kann, ohne dass man etwas erkennt.
- Bewegungsabläufe werden durch diffuses, farbiges Schattenspiel wahrgenommen, auch wenn dies die Sicherheitsgrenze von 30 cm übersteigt.
Lichtdurchlässigkeit:
Diese entspricht genau meinen Vorstellungen. Der Raum ist ausreichend hell, aber nicht so sehr, dass es unangenehm blendet. Natürlich kann ich hier nur für mein Sehvermögen sprechen.
Anbringung und Montage:
Jetzt kommen wir zum heiklen Punkt. Die Montage ist etwas "tricky" und erfordert Geschick und Planung.
Eins vorweg: Man sollte sich keine Hoffnungen machen, dass die Besucher bei genauem Hinsehen annehmen, dass das Fenster aus echtem Milchglas besteht.
Um dennoch zufriedenstellende Ergebnisse zu erhalten, sollte man einige Tricks bei der Vorgehensweise berücksichtigen, da sonst nach meinen Erfahrungen mit mehreren Folien die Versuche höchstwahrscheinlich scheitern werden.
1. Unbedingt viele Seifenwasser verwenden und nicht damit sparen. Das macht alles erheblich einfacher. Nur so kann man so lange verschieben, bis man zufrieden ist und die Blasen leicht "herausrakeln". Der Neigung, größere Nässung und Verschmutzung der Fußböden zu vermeiden, sollte man widerstehen. Man kann ja hinterher alles aufwischen und Menschen mit einer sensiblen Haut können währenddessen Einmalhandschuhe verwenden, so habe ich es gemacht.
2. Ein sehr scharfes Cuttermesser benutzen! Die Spitze abbrechen, falls sie vorher benutzt wurde. Ich habe mir zuletzt ein spezielles Cuttermesser geholt.
3. Entlang der Gummiabdichtung des Fenster schneiden. Das macht dem Gummi nichts aus, da der Schnitt sehr dünn ist und unbemerkt bleibt. Alle Versuche, die Gummiabdichtung unnötig zu schonen, werden hochwahrscheinlich zu schlechten Ergebnissen führen, wie es bei mir der Fall war.
4. Rakeln, rakeln, rakeln. Ich musste mehrere dutzende mal drüberstreichen, korrigieren und drüberstreichen, bis endlich ein relative Blasenfreies Bild zu sehen war. Allerdings war selbst dann später, aber nur bei ganz bestimmten Lichtverhältnissen, minimale Blasen zu erkennen. Wie schon gesagt, eine echte Milchglasscheibe ist es halt nicht.
5. Lieber eine etwas größere Rakel benutzen.
6. Beim Cutten kann auch entlang einer Rakel geschnitten werden, ist aber nicht Pflicht, das die Schnittlinie entlang der Gummiabdichtung "führend" wirkt.
7. Gegen das mühselige Abtrennen der Fensterfolie von der hinteren Schutzfolie habe ich noch kein Rezept entwickelt. Theoretisch wäre denkbar, zwei starke Klebestreifen auf beiden Seiten festzudrücken um anschließend diese wieder auseinanderzuziehen. Mit normalen Tesabändern würde dies abe nicht funktionieren.
8. Auf einem der zwei von mir hochgeladenen Bilder sieht man am oberen Rand, dass die Folie nicht passend beschnitten wurde, sondern unauffällig am inneren Rahmen aufliegt. Dies ist eine Vorkehrmaßnahme, um dem späteren Abrollen nach unten entgegenzutreten. Der Überrest kann, fall dieser Fall eintritt, einfach an den Innenrahmen mit einem schonendnen Kleber befestigt werden.
Preisleistungsverhältnis:
Dazu kann ich mich leider nicht äußern, da ich keine Vergleichsprodukte gekauft habe und deshalb nicht beurteilen kann, ob günstigere Produkte dieselbe Leistung zeigen.
Fazit:
Leuten mit schwachen Nerven oder fehlender Zeit bzw. Geduld würde ich davon abraten. Ebenso werden Menschen mit allzu hohen Erwartungen an die Optik hier nicht gut bedient.
Für alle anderen, die für etwas Geld guten Sichtschutz haben wollen, wäre es einen Versuch wert. Laut einigen Rezensionen soll der Verkäufer sehr entgegenkommend sein und das Geld bei Unzufriedenheit erstatten.
Ich stand zwischen einer Zwei- und Dreisternenbewertung, habe mich dann für wohlwollende Dreisterne entschieden, da alle Folien bei mir ihren Dienst erfüllen.

Just put it up. Took about 30 minutes start to finish. Very easy to cut down to size without snagging on scissors. You might find it easier to cut it to size and then leave it somewhere for a day or so to flatten out as it was fun battling it as it tried to roll back up during application.
Another idea would be to cut a paper template if possible and check that fits the window and then cut that out of the film.
For application, make sure the window is covered fully with soapy water. Don't worry about excess as it will all squeeze out during the bubble removal process and the wetter the glass is, the easier it will be to smooth out the bubbles.
Be advised that as you sqeeze out the bubbles it will flatten out and take up more space so cut it a couple of millimeters smaller than you think you need.
I didn't own a squeegee and didn't think it would work well for textured glass so instead I used a small silicone spatula from the kitchen. Worked really well.
I applied from the top down and slowly removed the backing as I used the spatula to remove any large bubbles. Once it was in place I then started working from top to bottom, middle to sides, pushing all the bubbles out. You may find it easier to put you head to one side on the glass to see the bubbles as looking straight on doesn't seem to show them which I think is where some people have had issues.
Take your time and put some elbow into it. Some of the bubbles will be stubborn. If it looks like you're getting a lot of very fine bubbles that won't remove then the window isn't wet enough. Pull the film back and wet it down again.
As you can see from the picture I cut it a little short at the top, but the amount that comes on the roll means I can always redo it. I'm just glad to have my privacy back again!

It is perfect as it still lets sunlight in but obscures vision. The frosted look is great and it looks like opaque ice. Vision is completely obscured even if it is dark out and bright on the side you are trying to make private (tested it by going outside at night). You can't see anything at all through it unless it is within 2-3 inches from the film - literally right up against it, and in that case, only shapes/shadows and no details.
Applying the product was simple and quick. A good tip is to tape the "open" side of the roll down with painters tape while doing your measuring so that it doesn't roll back up onto itself. After cutting, dry fit your piece to the glass to ensure it is the right size. Very generously wet the entire window with soapy water (use spray bottle) before applying (the more wet the better). The product should glide onto the window and can easily be moved around until you get it into the right spot. Smooth it out with a squeegee and squeeze out the air and water bubbles with the squeegee as well. Wait for it to dry and then it'll be perfect. Don't forget to clean the glass before applying so that there is no dust trapped underneath.
At the time of purchase it was nice that it is being sold for half the price of comparable products at home depot and at 3x the size as well. Great value!
