Sound quality is better than the basic Echo, but well short of similar sized speaker systems such as Bose and JBL, and certainly not what I regard as ‘premium’. The Echo Plus smart home hub works well, but it’s Bluetooth ‘pair-ing’ capability is limited to only those Bluetooth devices approved (and sold?) by Amazon. (certain makes of smart plugs, certain makes of speaker systems, etc) I only realised - to my disappointment - that the Echo Plus will not ‘pair’ into my Bose Bluetooth speaker, which I frequently ‘pair’ into my iPhone to listen to music.
