The brightness is great. Lights up a large area. The dimming is not stepped like in a previous review I read here, it has been a year since that review so perhaps the newer firmware fixed that as the dimming seems very smooth to me and the range of dimming is large, from very dim when set as low as nightlight to very bright at 100%. I’m very happy with this purchase, I’ve just ordered another one. Nice that it also comes with the dimmer switch.
