Caveat this review by saying I'm not a huge VR geek but have really enjoyed using an Oculus Quest 1 for the past 6~12 months. Excitedly ordered the Quest 2 but ended up disappointed - It's improved in some areas, gotten worse in others.
First impressions: It has lost some of the premium feel of the original - Head strap, inner mask and controllers all feel cheap compared. But none of that is a big deal, the less weight in the headset helps with comfort!
Screen is amazing, much clearer than the original but unbelievably the field of view is dramatically cut down??
What was an immersive experience in the Quest 1 (despite the lower resolution screen) feels like looking through a window in the 2??
Honestly disappointed - If you have an original Quest, probably wouldn't bother 'upgrading' - It's a sidegrade at best.
